Woven tapestry wall hangings are an elegant alternative to traditional wall decor. The Jacquard Loom, a weaving machine was invented in 1801 by Joseph-Marie Jacquard. Two hundred years later, the inventions of Jacquard led the world to the modern day computer which, among an almost infinite and growing number of uses, guides the jacquard loom in reproducing tapestries of exquisite detail.
Once the tapestries are woven the unfinished tapestry is then sent out to a sewing company and lined with a fabric backing along with a rod pocket for hanging.
